Introduction

Our client based in Gauteng in the Energy solutions industry are currently seeking the skills of a Head of Projects. The Head of Projects is responsible for leading and overseeing all aspects of project delivery across projects in Southern Africa. The role is to manage the projects team that ensures seamless coordination with clients, contractors, internal teams, and leadership.

Duties & Responsibilities

Main job function
Provide overall leadership and strategic direction for all projects from development through construction to handover.

Establish and maintain robust project governance, reporting, and decision-making frameworks.

Oversee project planning, scheduling, and execution across all phases.

Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, including technical, commercial, safety, and schedule risks.

Mentor and develop team members, using local and past project knowledge to bring lessons learned and improve project performance.


 

Desired Experience & Qualification

Qualifications

Project Management qualification preferable

 

Criteria

5 years experience leading Project Managers

5 years experience delivering large construction or energy projects

Commercial and contract management experience

Renewable energy experience an advantage

Strong team leadership skills
