About the roleThe General Manager – Construction will lead the planning, execution and delivery of construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards. This senior position reports directly to senior leadership and oversees both on‑site and off‑site activities across multiple sites.Key responsibilitiesDirect construction projects from conception through completion, reviewing schedules and cost estimates.Oversee business development, procurement, and compliance with safety and construction regulations.Coordinate and manage construction workers, subcontractors, tools, materials, equipment and inventory.Prepare internal and external reports on job status and daily progress.Negotiate contracts, obtain permits and licenses, and manage risk mitigation.Ensure adherence to contractual performance conditions and quality construction standards.Required profileDegree or BTech in Civil Engineering or related field; MBA or professional registration (PR CPM, ECSA) is an advantage.10+ years of experience in construction management.Advanced knowledge of construction processes, building products, regulations and quality standards.Strong leadership, conflict resolution and crisis management capabilities.Required skillsConstruction management softwareCost estimationRisk managementWhat we offerLeadership role in a growing construction firm.Opportunity to shape large‑scale projects across South Africa.Competitive compensation package.
