The Finance Model Evaluation Expert Role
OpenTrain is seeking a Finance Model Evaluation Expert to help improve AI model performance in finance. The work focuses on evaluating large language model outputs in weak finance areas, creating rubrics for tasks such as deal analysis and M&A assessment, and collaborating with researchers and finance experts on training methods, evaluation strategies, and benchmarks.
This is an entry-level, part-time contractor opportunity available worldwide. The stated rate is $100 USD per hour, with a time requirement of less than 20 hours per week.

What You'll Do

- Evaluate finance-focused LLM outputs and identify failure areas
- Create rubrics for assessing model capability in specific finance domains
- Collaborate with AI researchers and finance specialists on benchmarks
- Contribute to training approaches and evaluation strategies
- Assess finance tasks such as deal analysis and M&A assessment
Requirements
Applicants should have at least two years of experience in a relevant finance field and strong written English communication. The role calls for a solid understanding of financial concepts and the ability to evaluate finance-specific model behavior.
- 2+ years of experience in capital markets, portfolio management, research, trading, quant, investment banking, private equity, venture capital, growth equity, FP&A, accounting, or financial consulting
- Strong grasp of investment analysis, forecasting, revenue builds, corporate finance, asset management, and risk management
- Ability to evaluate LLM outputs for finance-specific failure modes
- Experience creating rubrics or benchmarks for model assessment
- Excellent English written communication
- CFA, CA, CPA, or an MBA in Finance is a bonus
