SUMMARY: About The Opportunity A well-established and growing medical company based in the West Rand is seeking an experienced and commercially astute Financial Manager to lead the full finance function and provide strategic financial support to the executive team. This is a high-impact role suited to a qualified CA(SA) or CIMA professional who thrives in a fast-paced, reporting-intensive environment and has a strong technical accounting background.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring financial integrity, regulatory compliance, robust reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and driving operational efficiencies across the business.

POSITION INFO: Key Responsibilities Financial Management & Reporting Manage and oversee the full finance function of the business. Prepare and present accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.

Ensure timely and accurate preparation of management accounts. Lead the budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes. Analyze financial performance and provide strategic recommendations to management.

Develop and maintain financial models to support business decision-making. Deliver detailed financial analysis and reporting to executives and stakeholders.

Technical

Accounting & Compliance Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards and statutory requirements. Manage and oversee the implementation and application of IFRS 15 (Revenue from Contracts with Customers) and IFRS 16 (Leases) . Maintain strong internal controls and financial governance frameworks. Liaise with external auditors and manage the annual audit process. Ensure tax compliance, VAT submissions, and all other statutory reporting requirements.

Operational Finance

Manage cash flow, working capital, and treasury functions. Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger functions. Monitor key financial metrics and proactively identify areas for improvement. Drive process improvements and financial efficiencies across the business. Support business growth initiatives through financial insights and analysis.

Leadership

Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team. Foster a culture of accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement. Collaborate closely with operational and executive management teams.

Minimum Requirements

Qualifications CA(SA) or CIMA Qualification (Essential) Postgraduate financial qualification advantageous.

Experience Minimum 8 - 10 years' relevant financial management experience . Proven experience managing the full finance function . Strong exposure to a reporting-intensive environment. Demonstrated experience with IFRS 15 and IFRS 16 (non-negotiable) .

Experience within the medical, healthcare, pharmaceutical, or related industries will be advantageous. Extensive experience in budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial analysis.

Experience managing audits and dealing with external stakeholders.

Technical Skills

Advanced financial reporting and analysis skills. Strong knowledge of IFRS and South African tax regulations.
