Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, from sourcing and screening candidates to coordinating interviews and facilitating successful placements across a variety of industry sectors.
  • Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified candidates through proactive headhunting, database searches, job boards, LinkedIn, and professional networking within the Recruitment & Staffing industry.
  • Partner closely with hiring managers and key stakeholders to gain a deep understanding of role requirements, team culture, and candidate profiles.
  • Craft compelling, SEO-optimised job advertisements in English to attract high-calibre talent for vacancies across multiple markets, including jobs in South Africa and international roles.
  • Conduct thorough candidate assessments, including competency-based interviews, skills evaluations, and cultural fit reviews, ensuring only the strongest profiles are presented to clients.
  • Build and nurture long-term relationships with both candidates and clients, establishing yourself as a trusted recruitment partner within the Recruitment & Staffing space.
  • Accurately maintain candidate records, activity logs, and placement data within the company's applicant tracking system (ATS), ensuring full compliance and data integrity.
  • Remain up to date with market trends, talent availability, and competitive intelligence within the Recruitment & Staffing industry to provide informed counsel to clients and internal teams.
  • Native or fluent English language proficiency, both spoken and written, is essential for this role — strong communication skills in English are non-negotiable.
  • A minimum of 2–4 years of proven experience as a recruiter, talent acquisition specialist, or staffing consultant, ideally within the Recruitment & Staffing industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple open vacancies simultaneously while maintaining a high standard of candidate and client experience.
  • Proficiency with applicant tracking systems (ATS), LinkedIn Recruiter, and other leading sourcing platforms commonly used in the Recruitment & Staffing sector.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a consultative, candidate-first approach and the ability to build trust quickly with diverse stakeholders across different cultures and time zones.
  • Strong organisational skills, self-motivation, and the discipline to perform consistently and independently in a freelance capacity — this role is on-site in Cape Town, South Africa, and no relocation package is provided.
