Role Details

Gold Fields is seeking a reliable, punctual, and responsible professional Driver to be based at the Corporate Office in Sandton. This role is responsible for providing safe, reliable, and efficient transportation services for company employees, visitors, and goods, ensuring full compliance with road safety regulations, company policies, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). This position requires an individual who is proactive, thorough, and safe, with strong time management, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to professional service.

About the role:

Provide safe, punctual, and high-standard transportation for employees, visitors, and goods in line with company values and SOPs

Proactively plan, manage, and monitor daily schedules, travel routes, and trip duties

Conduct daily 360-degree vehicle inspections, ensuring cleanliness, sanitation, and full roadworthiness

Efficiently manage vehicle usage, fuel tracking, secure parking, and safe storage

Maintain accurate operational travel logs and facilitate the timely renewal of vehicle licensing documentation

Follow traffic laws and speed limits, always maintaining high alertness to road safety rules

Honestly and immediately report any traffic violations, fines, vehicle faults, or accidents

Maintain professional diplomacy, assist visitors, and flexibly accommodate extended hours when required

About you:

Matric (Grade 12);

Valid driver’s licence and a Professional Driving Permit (PDP) supported by police clearance;

Sound knowledge of traffic laws, safety requirements, and company procedures;

Ability to conduct comprehensive vehicle inspections and maintain vehicle condition;

Excellent planning, coordination, and time-management skills;

Meticulous attention to detail and strong personal reliability;

Excellent English communication, customer service, and teamwork skills;

Ability to remain patient and calm under pressure or in high-stress situations;

Strong multitasking abilities and a mindset that adapts quickly to changing requirements;

Deep commitment to consistently demonstrating required safety behaviours and corporate values
