<p><strong>Role Overview </strong></p><p>We are looking for a detail-focused and organised Content Author to join our Content team. This role focuses primarily on the creation, maintenance and quality of commercial manufacturer data used within our planning and design software. You will work with information supplied by manufacturers and industry partners, transforming this into structured, accurate catalogue data that can be used effectively within our systems. </p><p><br></p><p>This is not primarily a graphical creation role. Instead, you will work with product structures, commercial information, planning rules and existing graphical libraries to ensure manufacturer catalogues behave correctly and contain accurate information. Full training will be provided on our systems, data structures and processes. </p><p><br></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities </strong></p><p>As a Content Author, you will: </p><p><br></p><ul><li>Create, enter and maintain manufacturer catalogues for use within our planning systems using specialist data collection and editing tools.</li><li>Interpret and structure commercial manufacturer information, including product ranges, pricing, options, finishes, materials and product configurations.</li><li>Combine commercial manufacturer data with the appropriate planning logic and rules to ensure products behave correctly within the software.</li><li>Assign existing colours, materials, finishes and geometries from our libraries to the relevant commercial manufacturer data.</li><li>Ensure catalogue information is complete, accurate and consistent with the information provided by manufacturers.</li><li>Carry out regular catalogue updates following changes to manufacturer products, pricing or specifications.</li><li>Perform detailed quality checks on new and updated catalogue data before release.</li><li>Investigate reported catalogue errors, identify the cause of the issue and make the appropriate corrections.</li><li>Process service cases and data-related support requests relating to manufacturer catalogues.</li><li>Work closely with internal teams to resolve catalogue and data queries.</li><li>Maintain accurate records of work completed, outstanding actions and catalogue updates.</li><li>Work to agreed deadlines and quality standards while managing multiple catalogue tasks and priorities.</li><li>Develop a strong understanding of our catalogue structures, planning systems and manufacturer data requirements.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>What We Are Looking For?</strong></p><p>Accuracy and attention to detail are extremely important in this role. You will be working with large amounts of structured information where small errors can have a significant impact on how products are displayed, priced or configured within the software.</p><p><br></p><p>We are looking for someone who:</p><p><br></p><ul><li>Has excellent attention to detail and takes pride in producing accurate work.</li><li>Is comfortable working with large amounts of detailed and structured data.</li><li>Can recognise patterns, relationships and inconsistencies within information.</li><li>Has good analytical and problem-solving skills.</li><li>Has a good level of technical understanding and is comfortable learning new software and systems.</li><li>Is confident using standard PC applications, particularly Microsoft Excel, Word and Windows.</li><li>Is organised and able to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.</li><li>Can work independently while also contributing positively within a team environment.</li><li>Has good written and verbal communication skills.</li><li>Is comfortable communicating with customers, manufacturers, suppliers and colleagues.</li><li>Is willing to learn and develop their knowledge of our products, systems and industry.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Qualifications & Experience</strong></p><p>A commercial, administrative, data, technical or similar background would be beneficial.</p><p>Previous experience working with any of the following would also be advantageous, but is not essential:</p><p><br></p><ul><li>Product or catalogue data</li><li>Data entry or data management</li><li>Product Information Management (PIM) systems</li><li>ERP or catalogue management systems</li><li>Pricing or commercial product information</li><li>Kitchen, bathroom or furniture industry data</li><li>IDM data format</li><li>CAD or planning software</li></ul><p><br></p><p>Industry-specific experience is not essential, as comprehensive training will be provided.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Key Skills</strong></p><ul><li><strong>Attention to Detail </strong>- You are meticulous in your work and naturally notice when information does not look right.</li><li><strong>Commercial Data Understanding </strong>- You can understand and work with information such as products, prices, options, ranges and configurations.</li><li><strong>Logical Thinking </strong>- You are able to understand how different pieces of information relate to one another and apply rules consistently.</li><li><strong>Problem Solving </strong>- You enjoy investigating issues, identifying their cause and finding the correct solution.</li><li><strong>Organisation - </strong>You can manage multiple tasks, updates and deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy.</li><li><strong>Technical Confidence - </strong>You are comfortable working with software and learning new systems, even if you have not previously worked with specialist catalogue tools.</li><li><strong>Communication - </strong>You can communicate clearly and professionally with colleagues, customers, manufacturers and industry partners.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>The Team</strong></p><p>You will join a committed and supportive Content team where collaboration, knowledge sharing and mutual support are an important part of how we work.</p><p><br></p><p>A structured and professional induction programme will introduce you to our systems, processes and industry.
