Consulting Services Sales Representative

Are you passionate about helping customers solve complex operational, energy, and infrastructure challenges? We are looking for a commercially driven, customer-focused Consulting Services Sales Representative to lead the growth of our Consulting Services business across the SADC region and be based in Johannesburg, South Africa. This is an exciting opportunity to combine technical expertise, consultative selling, business development, and strategic customer engagement to deliver measurable value for our customers. In this role, you will work closely with Sales, Marketing, Service Delivery, Operations, and Leadership teams to identify opportunities, develop trusted customer relationships, and drive profitable growth through consulting-led solutions. What will you do? Driving consulting services revenue, pipeline growth, and profitability. Identifying and developing new business opportunities across priority customer segments. Positioning consulting services as a strategic entry point for long-term customer partnerships. Supporting sales teams in uncovering, shaping, and converting consulting opportunities. Building trusted advisor relationships with customers and key stakeholders. Creating pull-through opportunities into modernization, digital, recurring, and other service offerings. Championing the value of consulting services across the organization and the customer ecosystem. What are the key skills we are looking for: Application Lifecycle Management - intermediate level; managing service solutions throughout the customer engagement cycle. Customer Targeting - intermediate level; identifying high-value accounts within the installed base for Services expansion. Industry Knowledge - intermediate level; understanding customer challenges in energy transition and digital transformation. Maintenance and Repair - intermediate level; positioning technical service offerings that extend equipment lifecycle. Product Application - intermediate level; demonstrating how Services solutions address unique business needs. Consultative Selling - advancedlevel; engaging customers as a trusted advisor to uncover strategic opportunities. Negotiation - developing level; structuring service agreements that deliver value for customers and the business. What Success Looks Like: Deliver sustained growth in Consulting Services revenue and pipeline. Increase consulting penetration across strategic customer accounts. Establish yourself as the trusted consulting services expert across the SADC region. Enable sales teams to consistently identify and promote consulting opportunities. Improve conversion of consulting engagements into broader services and modernization projects. Build strong partnerships with customers, sales teams, and business stakeholders. Drive profitable growth while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction and commercial discipline. What qualifications will make you successful: Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to establish trust and credibility quickly Bachelor's Degree in a relevant Engineering field. Equivalent relevant experience will also be considered. Professional qualifications in Energy Management, Energy Audits, ISO 50001, or related disciplines are advantageous. 5-7 years of experience in business development, consulting services sales, technical consulting, offer or category marketing, and B2B commercial sales. Proven success in building pipeline and driving revenue growth. Experience within one or more of the following sectors: Energy Management, Electrification, Power Systems, Industrial Solutions, Building Infrastructure, Data Centres & Technical Services. Strong consultative sales experience with the ability to convert customer needs into commercial opportunities. Experience working within matrix organizations and collaborating across multiple functions. Hands‑on experience with profitability management, forecasting, and sales pipeline development.
