Company Secretary & Compliance Officer

Compliance and Family Support Coordinator (part-time, contract)

Cornerstone Nannies places experienced nannies with families across Cape Town and the Winelands, and because the family is the legal employer rather than us, someone has to make the paperwork behind that actually work. That is this role. You would verify candidate identity and right to work through our verification platform, order and track police clearances, run reference checks with previous employers, and maintain a complete file on every candidate before they meet a family, with nothing missing and nothing assumed, including tracking document expiry dates and chasing renewals before they lapse.

On the family side you would set up UIF registration for each family as employer, prepare employment contracts from our templates, and prepare the monthly payment run for our accountant to authorise. You would also handle scheduled check-ins with placed families in the first weeks and at intervals afterwards, picking up small problems early before they become resignations, recording what you hear and flagging anything that needs a decision from us.

This is not a nanny role: we are looking for someone from a bookkeeping, payroll, HR administration or practice management background who is genuinely meticulous, notices when a date does not match or a document is the wrong version, understands South African employment basics including UIF, BCEA and the domestic worker sectoral determination (or can learn them properly and quickly), writes clearly and professionally to clients, and handles confidential personal information with real care. It will not suit someone who prefers variety over routine, because most of this job is doing the same careful thing correctly every time. Cape Town based, largely remote with occasional in person, roughly [x] hours a week, independent contractor.

You will not be giving legal or immigration advice; where a candidate needs that, we refer out. To apply, send your CV and a short note describing a time you caught an error nobody else did.

Two things still blank: the hours and the application address. Worth also deciding whether to name the R-value now or say “fee negotiable”, because compliance people tend to self-select out of unpriced adverts.

Pay: R5 000,00 - R15 000,00 per month

Work Location: Remote
