Civil Engineer - Water Infrastructure
An exciting opportunity exists for a Civil Engineer to join our client's growing engineering team in Bloemfontein. This opportunity is ideal for a motivated professional with a passion for delivering sustainable water infrastructure projects and driving excellence in water demand management and conservation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the delivery of water engineering construction projects from planning through to completion.
- Coordinate pressure management and network zone projects, including the installation of bulk water meters, pressure reducing valves, and related infrastructure.
- Deliver technical input on water conservation and Non-Revenue Water programmes.
- Prepare feasibility studies, engineering reports, and project proposals.
- Manage procurement processes, contract documentation, and project administration.
- Ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and within budget.
- Work closely with clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
- Utilise AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and engineering software to support project execution.
Minimum Requirements:
- B.Sc. or B.Eng. in Civil Engineering.
- At least 5 years' experience in civil engineering, preferably within the water sector.
- Practical knowledge of water demand management and water conservation projects.
- Experience administering contracts under SAICE, GCC, and FIDIC frameworks.
- Strong Microsoft Office proficiency; WADISO experience will be beneficial.
- Valid South African driver's licence.
- ECSA registration is advantageous.
