Civil Drafter – Stormwater & Drainage
About the role
Prepare detailed stormwater drainage and civil engineering drawings for Australian projects. Draft drainage layouts, pipe networks, pits, levels, grades and overland flow paths. Produce site plans, grading plans, drainage plans, long sections and construction drawings. Develop and modify drawings using AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or 12d Model. Interpret survey plans, engineering designs, site levels and project specifications.
Key responsibilities
Prepare drainage schedules, quantities and supporting documentation
Ensure drawings are accurate, clear and compliant with relevant Australian Standards and project requirements
Work from mark-ups, engineering concepts and instructions provided by Australian engineers and project managers
Coordinate drainage designs with other civil, structural and architectural drawings
Review drawings for accuracy, consistency and drafting quality before submission
Make revisions based on engineer, client and council feedback
Assist with preparing plans suitable for Australian local council submissions and construction documentation
Maintain organised project files and drawing registers
Communicate with the Australian project team to clarify requirements and provide progress updates
Meet project deadlines while maintaining a high standard of accuracy and attention to detail
