Casual Administration Assistant

Overview
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Casual Administration Assistant to support our office team on a flexible basis. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with prior office experience who are organised, proficient in computer skills, and eager to contribute to a professional environment. The successful candidate will assist with various administrative tasks, ensuring smooth daily operations and providing exceptional support to staff and clients alike.

Duties

  • Managing incoming calls with professional phone etiquette and directing enquiries appropriately
  • Assisting with data entry and maintaining accurate records using Microsoft Office programmes such as Word, Excel, and Google Workspace
  • Supporting the preparation of documents, reports, and correspondence
  • Organising appointments, meetings, and scheduling using organisational skills
  • Handling basic bookkeeping tasks using QuickBooks and processing invoices or payments as required
  • Filing physical and digital documents systematically to ensure easy retrieval
  • Assisting with general clerical duties including photocopying, scanning, and mailing
  • Providing support for special projects or ad hoc administrative tasks as needed

Requirements

  • Proven office experience or administrative experience in a similar role
  • Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), Google Workspace, and data entry software
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
  • Good typing speed and accuracy for efficient document processing
  • Knowledge of QuickBooks or similar accounting software is desirable but not essential
  • Exceptional phone etiquette and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining attention to detail
  • Organised approach to managing multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
