Purpose Statement:
Lead, coordinate, and facilitate the strategic development, tactical implementation, and financial planning components of all sales and marketing-related topics specific to AbbVie's Immunology portfolio. This includes the management of customer and commercial activities as well as leading and coaching the sales force to maximize brand sales and margin, with a patient-centric approach in compliance with AbbVie's business code of conduct, policies, and all applicable laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership:
+ Spearhead the development and execution of comprehensive brand strategies and tactical activities tailored to AbbVie's Immunology Products.
+ Drive strategic priorities such as maintaining a leading position in the market and supporting the growth of the immunology therapeutic area (TA) through next-generation treatments.
Sales and Financial Management:
+ Manage and execute all marketing and sales activities in line with the Brand Plan to achieve or surpass brand sales and margin targets within the available budget.
+ Oversee the Immunology brand P&L, including financial planning and performance evaluation, ensuring alignment with long-range plans.
People Leadership:
+ Lead, develop, and coach the immunology sales team as well as brand manager, optimizing performance through setting clear sales targets, incentive schemes, key performance indicators (KPIs) and ensuring effective translation of brand strategy into execution.
+ Ensure the immunology sales team is equipped with up-to-date medical, technical, and specialized knowledge for in-field operations.
+ Cultivate and coach talent within the immunology team, building succession plans to maintain a robust talent pipeline.
+ Promote a culture of collaboration and team spirit within the immunology unit.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
+ Lead the cross functional brand team and foster collaboration between key stakeholders, ensuring effective multidisciplinary in-field teams.
+ Facilitate the flow of market intelligence to brand teams and ensure that brand strategy and tactics are communicated effectively to in-field teams.
Global Integration:
+ Liaise with area and global functions to integrate broader strategies and tactics into local immunology brand planning.
+ Align local efforts with global and area brand vision and strategic objectives.
Innovation and Impact:
+ Advance AbbVie's commitment to transforming immunology care standards, focusing on life-changing treatments and patient support programs.
+ Highlight AbbVie's pioneering efforts in immune mediated disease treatment and innovative contributions to global scientific conversations.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
+ University degree in a relevant field.
+ Demonstrated success in a marketing and sales position within the biotech/pharmaceutical industry, preferential if specific to immunology.
+ Experience in navigating and leading within a matrix organization.
+ Proven track record of team leadership, coaching, and development.
+ Comprehensive knowledge of the healthcare and pharmaceutical landscape, including market access and stakeholder engagement.
+ Strong financial acumen with a solid grasp of sales and marketing principles.
+ Strong English proficiency and excellent computer skills.
+ Commitment to ongoing development with flexibility for potential relocation.
