Business Manager (Commissary Kitchen Manager)
Key Responsibilities
Lead the planning, setup, and launch of the food commissary.
Coordinate all business permits, licenses, inspections, and compliance requirements with local and national government agencies.
Liaise with government offices, contractors, suppliers, vendors, and service providers during the establishment phase.
Oversee facility preparation, kitchen layout, equipment procurement, installation, and commissioning.
Develop operational policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), food handling protocols, and quality standards.
Implement inventory management, production scheduling, purchasing, and order fulfillment systems.
Recruit, onboard, train, and supervise kitchen, production, and administrative staff.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, sanitation standards, workplace safety requirements, and company policies.
Manage daily commissary operations, production schedules, inventory levels, and staff performance.
Monitor budgets, operating costs, productivity, and profitability.
Coordinate with clients, food brands, suppliers, and delivery partners.
Identify opportunities for process improvement, cost savings, and business expansion.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Hospitality Management, Entrepreneurship, or any related field preferred.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in management, operations, project management, logistics, food service, retail, manufacturing, or a related industry.
Experience in business startup, facility setup, or operational management is an advantage.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent organizational, planning, and project management abilities.
Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and business management systems.
Ability to manage budgets, inventory, suppliers, and operational processes.
