Building Electrician
HOTEL ELECTRICIAN
The Hotel Electrician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, inspection, and repair of the hotel’s electrical systems and equipment. The position ensures that all electrical facilities are operating safely, efficiently, and in accordance with hotel standards and applicable safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform regular inspection, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical systems and equipment.
- Install, repair, and maintain electrical wiring, outlets, switches, lighting fixtures, circuit breakers, and other electrical components.
- Respond promptly to electrical breakdowns and maintenance requests from hotel departments.
- Conduct preventive maintenance of electrical equipment and systems.
- Check and maintain electrical panels, generators, lighting systems, and related equipment.
- Assist in electrical installation and renovation projects within the hotel.
- Ensure compliance with electrical safety procedures and hotel safety standards.
- Identify potential electrical hazards and report them immediately to the Engineering Supervisor.
- Maintain proper records of repairs, inspections, and preventive maintenance activities.
- Coordinate with other Engineering and Maintenance personnel when handling major repairs.
- Provide assistance during emergencies involving electrical systems.
- Ensure work areas are kept clean and safe after completing maintenance activities.
- Perform other duties assigned by the Chief Engineer or Engineering Supervisor.
Qualifications
- High school graduate; vocational or technical course in Electrical Technology is preferred.
- With Electrical NC II/NC III or relevant certification is an advantage.
- With experience as an electrician, preferably in a hotel, commercial building, or similar facility.
- Knowledgeable in electrical installation, repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Familiar with electrical safety practices and basic tools and equipment.
- Physically fit and capable of performing maintenance work.
- Willing to work on shifting schedules, weekends, and holidays when required.
- Can work independently and as part of a team.
