Bookkeeper - NZ Account (Hybrid)

About the Job

We’re looking for a Bookkeeper to join our growing team at ClockworX. In this Hybrid role, you’ll be responsible for delivering end to end bookkeeping services to our New Zealand clients.

You will manage day to day financial operations including accounts receivable and payable, bank reconciliations, and monthly reporting. You will also work with modern tools, including AI and automation platforms, to help improve efficiency and reduce manual processing across your workflows.

You will play an important role in ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance across all transactions, while working closely with our NZ based Client Managers to deliver consistent, high quality outcomes for clients. You will be part of a collaborative team of 30+, supporting a growing client base and contributing to ongoing process improvements.

This role is ideal for someone with strong attention to detail, experience using Xero for NZ and/or AU clients, and a proactive approach to learning and improving how work is delivered. This role also requires working onsite 2 days per week at our Ortigas-based office to support collaboration, team engagement, access to guidance and coaching, and effective coordination with the team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage bank transaction coding and ensure financial records in Xero are complete and up to date

  • Process accounts receivable and accounts payable accurately and in a timely manner

  • Prepare month end close and reporting requirements

  • Prepare creditor payment runs and process employee expense claims, credit cards, and fuel cards

  • Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies promptly

  • Maintain organized and accurate records using Xero, Dext, and related systems

  • Monitor and manage client accounts email inboxes

  • Identify and escalate any errors, inconsistencies, or risks

  • Work closely with Client Managers to deliver accurate and consistent outputs

  • Follow internal processes and ensure adherence to our policies and procedures

  • Use and contribute to AI and automation tools to improve workflow efficiency and reduce manual processing

  • Complete ad hoc finance and administrative tasks as required


About You

You are an organized and detail-oriented Bookkeeper who is comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. You take pride in producing accurate work, meeting deadlines, and supporting a team to deliver strong outcomes for clients.

Here’s what you’ll bring to the role:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English

  • At least 2 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience

  • Experience supporting New Zealand or Australian clients using Xero is preferred

  • Strong understanding of core bookkeeping processes

  • Experience with Dext, Hubdoc, or similar tools ideal

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook

  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail

  • Ability to manage multiple clients and priorities at once

  • Comfortable with direct client contact

  • Comfortable using new tools and technology, including AI and automation platforms

  • Experience working with offshore or global teams is an advantage
