We offer standardized transport as well as highly specialized end-to-end solutions to customers in a wide range of industries globally.</p> <p><strong>DHL Global Forwarding</strong> has an opening <strong>Bid Manager, </strong><strong>Johannesburg, South Africa.  </strong>Join us in connecting people and improving lives!<br>      <br> <strong>In this Bid Manager</strong> <strong>position </strong></p> <ul> <li>The Bid Manager is overall responsible to coordinate all stakeholders involved in the RFQ response and to submit in a timely manner the final & combined DGF answer to a given RFQ.</li> <li>Based on the country-led bid concept, the country Bid Manager assume the lead and involve all necessary stakeholders, starting with Lead Country ACC/OCC, Finance, IT, Legal, others.</li> <li>The drive, the coordination, the execution of pre-bid and post-bid phase are critical for the success of the bid pricing response portion; a country Bid Manager is the project manager of these phases and the interface between Commercial Owner and DGF resources.</li> <li>The Bid Manager will also support the Commercial Owner to liaise with many parties within DGF response teams, to prepare and organize commercial narratives, executive summary and/or commercial value propositions, DGF T&Cs etc.</li> <li>The Bid Manager will also be ultimately responsible for the completeness, look, feel, and timeliness of the RFQ submission to commercial owner / customer.</li> <li>In addition to above the Bid Manager is also responsible for effective reporting for the country bids and provide sales and country management a complete 360-degree view on topics related to bid management</li> <li>Bid Manager is also responsible for the deployment of the Global Bid tools in the country and making sure the compliance to the bid process is followed and all tools are effectively managed, maintained and updated all time for all bids.</li> <li>Establish a clear road map and implement strategies that have short to long-term impact on Bid results in alignment with regional and global functional objectives.</li> <li>Provide input to and lead development and implementation of Bid management process and strategy for the country including planning, target customers and tools.</li> <li>Support sales management in proactively identifying opportunities within the country pipeline to improve bid process.</li> <li>Proactive engagement with Sales & product with a view to increase conversion Ratios on RFQ success.</li> <li>Complete pre bid activities with sales including but not limited to customer reporting, customer development plan and win plan reviews.</li> <li>Utilize creative thinking to bring new ideas and increase opportunity win plan through strategic value propositions.</li> <li>Establish core stakeholder group for each bid and manage all communication throughout the bid process.</li> <li>Host Pre-Bid, Kick-off, wrap up calls and regular follow up meetings to coordinate best results for customer solutions.</li> <li>Work closely with all products, finance, IT, legal, risk management and other stakeholders to manage approvals for bids.</li> <li>Run full project management throughout bid process to ensure all pieces (pricing from product and solutions) are complete and delivered on time.</li> <li>Complete post bid activities including DEBRIEF (Post Bid reviews) and follow up on actions established.</li> <li>Provide training to sales and product teams on bid management engagement process and tools.</li> <li>Provide reporting to sales management on hit rates for locally owned bids, trends seen and opportunities for development/ improvement.</li> <li>Provide reporting to sales management on the country bids- volume net effect (imports and exports).</li> <li>Support country sales team on RFIs and customer value propositions.</li> <li>Ensure in-depth visibility to all key stakeholders on all upcoming RFQs, both within the commercial and product stakeholders.</li> </ul>   <p><strong>Global RFQ Management</strong></p> <ul> <li>Drive alignment between lead country, origin and destination countries, regional bid teams and global account owners to support a coordinated and competitive RFQ response.</li> <li>Support the development of win plans, value propositions, executive summaries and commercial narratives that reflect DGF capabilities, customer priorities and competitive positioning.</li> <li>Coordinate pricing, operational inputs, compliance requirements, reporting needs and service specifications.</li> <li>Monitor global RFQ performance, including pipeline visibility, response quality, bid conversion, win/loss reasons, implementation readiness and continuous improvement opportunities.</li> </ul>   <p><strong>Now, here is what we need from you!
