About the Role
Our client is seeking a vigilant and proactive Aviation Security Specialist to safeguard operations at their facilities in Randburg . This role is integral to ensuring the security of aircraft, passengers, and personnel, implementing and overseeing security protocols in line with national and international aviation security standards. You will be responsible for threat assessment, risk mitigation, and the implementation of security measures to prevent unlawful interference with aviation activities.
Key Responsibilities Develop, implement, and enforce comprehensive aviation security policies and procedures. Conduct security risk assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and recommend enhancements. Oversee security screening operations, including personnel, baggage, and cargo. Investigate security incidents and breaches, providing detailed reports and recommending corrective actions. Train and supervise security personnel, ensuring they are proficient in security protocols and emergency response. Requirements Extensive experience in aviation security management or a related field (e.g., law enforcement, military security). In-depth knowledge of aviation security regulations and best practices (e.g., ICAO Annex 17, national aviation security programs). Certification in aviation security or a related discipline. Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration and training.
