About the Role

Our client is looking for a skilled AI Infrastructure Specialist to manage and optimize the hardware and software infrastructure that supports their advanced AI and machine learning operations in Nelspruit . This role is vital for ensuring the performance, availability, and scalability of their AI computing resources, including servers, storage, and networking. You will work closely with data scientists and engineers to provide a seamless and efficient environment for model development and deployment. Key Responsibilities Manage, maintain, and optimize AI/ML hardware and software infrastructure. Ensure the availability, performance, and scalability of AI computing resources. Implement and manage storage solutions and high-speed networking for large datasets. Monitor system health, identify potential issues, and implement preventative measures. Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to procure and deploy new infrastructure. Provide technical support and guidance to data science and engineering teams regarding infrastructure best practices. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 3+ years of experience in IT infrastructure management, with a focus on high-performance computing or large-scale data environments. Experience managing server hardware, storage systems (NAS/SAN), and networking infrastructure. Familiarity with Linux operating systems and system administration. Understanding of AI/ML workloads and their infrastructure requirements is a strong advantage. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
