The Department of Public Service and Administration is seeking dedicated individuals for the role of Administrative Officer: Police Oversight in the Sekhukhune District and Waterberg District. This position is pivotal in ensuring the effectiveness and accountability of the South African Police Service (SAPS) within these communities. By monitoring SAPS components and evaluating customer satisfaction in policing precincts, you will contribute to fostering trust and transparency between the police and the communities they serve.

What You’ll Do- Monitor the performance and operations of various SAPS components.
- Assess customer satisfaction levels in local policing precincts.
- Oversee the operations of the SAPS Garage to ensure compliance and efficiency.
- Provide comprehensive administrative support to the directorate.
- Engage in regular reporting and documentation of findings to inform policy and operational improvements.
- A National Senior Certificate or an equivalent qualification, plus an appropriate undergraduate qualification (NQF 6) in Social Sciences, Public Administration, Research, Criminology, or Policing.
- A minimum of two years’ experience in a related field.
- A valid driver’s license (with exceptions for persons with disabilities).
- Strong knowledge of public service legislation, SAPS policies, and monitoring and evaluation tools.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and non-verbal, along with proficiency in computer literacy.
- Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
