Monahans. one of Sumer’s hubs, works closely with small and medium-sized enterprises across the UK and Ireland. We help clients navigate complex financial needs - from compliance and reporting to strategic business advice - so they can focus on running and growing their businesses.


Key Responsibilities


Prepare accurate financial statements for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies.
Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts and assist with month-end processes.
Ensure compliance with UK accounting standards and relevant tax regulations.
Liaise with clients to gather financial information and resolve queries promptly.
Support senior accountants and auditors with ad hoc tasks and reporting as required.


Skills, Knowledge & Expertise


SAIPA Accountant (or similar e.g. CIMA / AGA(SA)) with full accounting function experience
UK Accounts experience - essential
Proficient in accounting software (e.g., Xero, Sage, QuickBooks)
Strong understanding of bookkeeping and financial reporting principles
Excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy
Ability to manage deadlines and prioritise tasks effectively
Good communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration
