Account Manager I (iOCO0084)

We are seeking a driven and results-oriented Account Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and growing strategic customer accounts, developing new business opportunities, and achieving agreed sales targets through effective account planning and consultative selling.

What you'll do:
  • Develop an annual business plan in conjunction with Sales Manager, which details activities to follow during the fiscal year, which will focus the Account Manager on meeting or exceeding sales quota
  • Manage all accounts assigned to you by the Aptronics Sales Manager
  • Plan and prioritise all sales activities and customer prospecting towards achieving the agreed Aptronics business aims, including costs and sales
  • Manage the Aptronics suite of products and services mix ensuring the pricing and margins meet the agreed Aptronics guidelines
  • Pro-actively develop and manage the required revenue Pipeline and forecasting tool as required by Aptronics Senior Management
  • Pro-actively launch, demonstrate, advertise, exhibit and market any new initiative from Aptronics or the affiliated vendors to your customers
  • Accountability and responsibility for any sales related projects and tasks (Quotations, Proposals & tenders, Debt collection, Project planning, Implementations, Formal customer presentations, Maintenance activities, Contract negotiation, Win / loss reviews – customer and internal)
  • Complete understanding of pricing and proposal models
  • Creates and conducts effective proposal presentations and RFP responses that identify prospects business problems, the effects of the problems, and the solutions to such problems
  • Attend training and ensure individual skills development and Vendor certifications at Aptronics. (meet and maintain sales certification for all vendors)
  • Develop and manage a minimum three strategic account plans within your customer base
  • Demonstrate technical selling skills and product knowledge in all areas addressed by Aptronics
  • Hold a business conversation with business owners and decision makers regarding their specific industries
  • Gather and submit detailed business information to the Solution Centre for pricing and design of solutions to identified customers’ business problems.
  • Operate within the boundaries of the Aptronics company policies, procedures and business ethics codes.
  • Maintain and develop existing customers through appropriate propositions and ethical sales methods with relevant internal liaison to optimise quality of service, business growth and ultimate customer satisfaction
  • Build trust, value others, communicate effectively, drive execution, focus on the customer, collaborate with others, solve problems creatively and demonstrate high integrity
Your Expertise:
  • 5 to 7 years’ experience as an external account executive
  • Ability to connect at a business or technical level within client organisations
  • Good understanding of the IT markets as well as future trends related to the sales area of focus
  • Achievement of sales targets on a regular basis
  • English - Can converse and has the necessary email skills to be able to deal with relevant stakeholders

Qualifications:
  • Qualification Essential Competency
    • National Senior Certificate/ Senior Certificate/ Grade 12
    • Pass typical recruitment checks (criminal, qualification, ID verification checks, etc.)
  • Qualifications preferred/ knowledge
    • Post Graduate Degree or Diploma
    • At least 5 years external sales experience within a similar or same field
    • Regular achievement of targets set
