Account Executive - SDR

The first conversation is where deals are actually won. By the time proposals are flying, the best SDRs have already done the work that matters.

Job Overview

Our UK-based client is hiring an Account Executive - SDR to open doors and build a healthy, predictable sales pipeline. This is a full-time, fully remote position for a South African professional who is confident on the phone, sharp in writing and resilient by nature. You will research prospects, start conversations and book qualified meetings that the senior team can close.

About Our Client

Our client is an ambitious UK company with a strong offer and real momentum.

Their challenge is a good one: more demand to create than hours to create it. They are building a structured outbound engine and want a hungry, coachable SDR at the heart of it. Expect proper onboarding, clear targets and a direct line to experienced closers who want you to succeed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Research and build targeted prospect lists that match the ideal customer profile
  • Execute outbound sequences across email, LinkedIn and phone with personalised, relevant messaging
  • Qualify inbound and outbound leads against clear criteria before booking meetings
  • Book and confirm discovery calls, ensuring show-up rates stay high
  • Keep the CRM accurate and current so pipeline reporting reflects reality
  • Test and refine messaging, sharing what works with the wider team

What You Will Be Doing Day-to-Day

Your day is built around focused outreach blocks: researching accounts in the morning, personalising and sending sequences, making calls in the windows when prospects actually answer, and following up with the persistence that separates booked meetings from ignored emails. You will track everything, review your numbers weekly, and treat every no as data. Wins are celebrated loudly here, and your booked meetings are the engine of the whole revenue team.

If you are a driven professional based in South Africa who wants a genuine sales career path with a UK employer, this is the role where South African sales talent gets noticed.

  • 2+ years' experience in outbound sales, SDR or business development roles
  • Excellent written and spoken English with a confident, natural phone manner
  • Confident with tech tools: CRMs, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, outreach platforms and spreadsheets
  • Proven reliability: stable fibre internet, backup power for load shedding, and a quiet home office
  • Resilience, self-motivation and consistent daily activity without close supervision
  • Strong research and personalisation skills that make outreach land, not annoy

Full-time remote position working for a UK-based employer. Competitive salary paid in ZAR. Long-term stable role. Supportive team environment. Direct access to founder-led business.
